
Pathways Drop-In Center is a 501(3) c non-profit corporation. The majority of our funding for services comes from county government and private grants.
With the huge government cuts we have seen our funding cut by 17% while at the same time we have had an increase in the number of people we serve.
Our records indicate that we will have had an increase in the number of daily visits this year over last by 15%, making our estimated number of daily visits by members over 19,000 in 2011. We are reaching out to you, our friends in the community for help.
Additionally our funding has typically gone to provide these basic services for food and clothing and a limited amount has been done to maintain our buildings. We are in need of vast repairs and money for daily maintenance. Since Pathways opened in 1993 we have only recently worked on renovation and repairs. The buildings are in renovation and repair and ultimately expansion to serve our growing population.
We can use not only financial support in this area but also donation of building and maintenance supplies, building repair labor and services as well as furnishings for our main buildings and member apartments. Every donation you make will have a huge impact on lives in Central Florida. We depend on the generosity of you to allow us to continue our vital services. With the statistic that one in four people will be affected by a mental illness, your support will touch the lives of many.
